These people (example 6 above) receive a REAL IMPACT!! and the BKVCG are encouraging all the residents to wholly support this expansion AND the blockmaking plant. Surely this is inhumane?? It is certainly not REASONABLE behaviour!!! Example 7 would suggest that the proposed development can only be REFUSED!! HOW TO OBJECTThe best way to object is to read all about the Application on the council website, read the most up to date objections to Paterson's Dunduff Quarry and proposed re-routing quarry traffic through Lesmahagow Application to get some ideas of layout, or see further down this page. There may be a point that someone else has objected or commented on which you would want more detail, (but now you will need to request a copy of the objections from SLC as they are now not publishing them), asyou could see further impact which you can then comment on. Click on the application number in blue below, which should take you there. If not, take a note of the application No. and follow the instructions listed immediately below. Planning Application Number. CL/10/0454 When you arrive on the Council website page, " Application Searches" ; scroll down to "Search Criteria" in the first box "Application Number" type CL/10/0454. then, scroll down to bottom of page and click "Search". You will then arrive at; "Planning Application Search Results" click on the application number (should be in blue) CL/10/0454. You will arrive at "Details Page for Planning Application - CL/10/0454." You should have a read through the whole application to fully understand it. At this stage if you just wish to read the objections, on the site go down to, "view related documents" and click this link. The letters of objection start on page 4 headed, "Consultation response", or "representation" double click any you wish to read. You can see the various ways letters have been written, and we have listed some concerns below which you can cut and paste or even use one of the template letter examples below, which you can also edit. Completed letters can be posted to the address on the website, it is on all of objection letters or dropped into the Black Bull, Resource centre, or Dynamic Chemicals at top of Teiglum Road. If you are unable to get out, email us at objections@lesmahagow.com and we will arrange someone to collect your letter from you. Each individual in a household can submit a letter of objection, it is NOT just 1 per household, provided they are old enough to understand the impact this will have on them and what they are signing. Here is the Blackwood Kirkmuirhill letter edited so that it would be worded in their best interests (ie objecting to quarry expansion and block making plant but supporting the rerouting of traffic away from villages) and also supported by their neighbours in Lesmahagow and surrounding villages.

What about all the work which was done, meetings with authorities, drawings and maps of alternative routes? Unfortunately our naiviety on the planning process means that all of that work was almost a waste of time. In the planning process references to anything other than what the developer submits is "invalid". The only future value of these is if the proposed route is refused permission, Paterson's may wish to explore these viable alternatives. What is a valid objection or comment? If the road is unsuitable for the type of traffic, (give detail of why unsuitable). What is an invalid objection or comment? a. It will spoil my view. b. I would not like this etc. c. Offering a different design, (you can only object to what is proposed). |
