The meeting was well attended with most user groups represented as well as members of the development trust, our hard working MSP Ailleen Campbell and many others who simply want to retain the hall. No local councillors attended - no surprise there. It was decided unanimously that we should do what we can to retain the Jub as an independant community asset, and as such a volunteer group was set up to pursue this aim.

South Lanarkshire Council have previously said there will be no extension to the November closure date and pserrure will be put on them to transfer this much needed asset to the community.

A meeting to discuss the feasability of a community led takeover of the Jubilee Hall will be held on Tuesday 22nd June at 7:30. All users and intersted persons are invited to attend.

The meeting is at 7 O'CLOCK & not 7:30 as stated earlier.

Might be a good idea to tell forum members where the meeting is Lobey Dosser.

It's in the very hall we are trying to save
