Has anyone thought why now???

Let me explain the most probable cause.

The proposed incinerator, from what i can read, submitted their plans before Patersons for the extension fo their quarry. The Incinerator propose 1500 vehicles a week. If they were approved for this site, and lets hope they aren't. There is no way the council would agree to extending the quarry for Patersons.

The best hope they have is to re route the lorries, thus increasing their chances of getting their planning permission.

Im sure both will get approved cos all the council care about is what they will get from the quarry. They dont care about us residents, the roads, etc etc. South Lanarkshire council should be ashamed of themselves raping the countryside at every oppurtunity.

Also noticed, as being from Belfast on a different note, that Belfast City council has refused 2 proposed Incinerators in the last 12 months
