(92.23.144.184) | The council changed the meeting to 10am - they heard that a "demo" was planned. As far as I can gather the car park will stay & the owner will ensure that the surroundinga are kept tidy. |

(92.23.121.4) | The right of way has existed as long as I can remember. It used to go past the kennels but the owner took very strong objections to this & the present alternative path was used.
It will still be a right of way even if the council close the car park. The industrial estate & the new Tesco will be just over the M74 & there will probably be ample spaces there - not ideal but better than parking on the roundabout.
I don't imagine S.L.C. will listen to any objections or arguments & alter the plan if their past & present attitude to Lesmahagow is anything to go by. |

(92.23.229.154) | I am a bit dismayed that the council have decided that the parking area at Kerse has to be closed. I and many others use this area to park when taking my dogs for a walk. As a "newbi" to lesmahagow i am unsure of the access rights to the walks but having spoken to others at kerse i believe they have been used for more than 10 years. If that is the case then i believe the are classed as public rights of way. I also was informed that the council provide money towards the cutting of the grass in parts. I was also informed that there was a right of way down through the kennels but it has been closed of. If anyone has any iformation about these facts please can you advise me thanks. |
